Looks like Freaks wasn’t the first horror movie after all. This is a full decade older. Interresting. But tiring. The film is just still pictures and short clips with text cards every five seconds. Blink and you’ll miss it.

According to some random rag I came across this is apparently the first horror movie… And I’m rather impressed. I was bracing for the filmatic ancestor of The Elephant Man, but this is more like a parallell universe Wizard of Oz. Great transfer, too.
