So the Willmott-binge is not going well. Turns out most of his films are plain impossible to get ahold of.
Thankfully Chi-raq was not amongst the unavailable ones. It’s been a long time since a movie made me giggle this much. Still very serious subject matter, mind you!
The Only Good Indian
The next film in our Willmott cavalcade was supposed to be Bunker Hill (2008), but that film seems to be completely impossible to find. Shame.
The Only Good Indian sees Willmott in the director’s chair with someone else’s script in his hands. Still much the same subject matter, but it never reaches the heights of CSI.
C.S.A.: The Confederate States of America
A brief history of the Confederate States of America from the hypothetical future in which the south won the American civil war. Back in 2014 I stumbled upon this film and decided to watch Kevin’s entire body of work. And here I am, and it’s not even the next decade!
Our Willmott-bonanza finally continues in a cheesy fashion in this made for TV-drama that nonetheless continues to tickle the particular fancy I seem to have for the good sir Kevin.
And my Emacs the seventies were stylish!
Kevin Wilmott / Tim Rebman
I decided to watch the entire catalogue of Kevin Willmott. Not sure what to say about the premiere except… I like it?
