My little film afficionado says: pretty funny, and a bit scary.

In Indonesia 1965, after a failed coup d’état which led to the rise of president Suharto, state sanctioned death squads exterminated at least half a million suspected communists.The Act of Killing follows members of such unit as they try to make a movie chronicling their murderous adventures.  It is absolutely gripping, deeply offensive and utterly fascinating.  If you, or your proxy, is located in Norway, you can watch it at http://tv.nrk.no/program/koid76002309/the-act-of-killing.

A poke under the skin of our favourit droid.  I suppose the idea was funnier than the result.

Transsexuals, Darkman, talking birds, IRA, lots of music.  Pretty gay movie.  Also pretty funny movie.  And a pretty dramatic movie.

Another documentary.  This time about the rise and fall of Interactive Fiction in the eighties.  Recommended for anyone who knows what I’m talking about.

Ok, zombies in the mountains.  Not bad.  I’ll award an extra point for excessive gore.

Bill Maher travels the world raising important, well-known questions, while making fun of religious people.  Funny guy that Bill.

I love a good horror flick.  Didn’t really need to see it, though, as I’m already eco-mental.
