Pretending it makes total sense to have an oasis at the very peak of a mountain in a desert, Holes is not a movie without depth. But I’m not sure I can get behind the moral of the story which seems to be that… even if you haven’t done anything wrong, punishment can still build your character?
Am I being too cynical?
I can still dig it, though.

I remember this one as being stupid, but now I really liked it. Did I just get old, or have movies taken a really bad turn the last twenty years? Seems to me that while most scifi-movies spend the first hour faffing around, ID4 got started right away. I like that.
