Quatermass and the Pit
Roy Ward Baker
5/7
Old school. I used to watch loads of these old horror-scifi-films when I was a kid. Thumbs.
Resolutions, reviews, rants, raves.
Unforseen Consequences: A Half-Life Documentary
Danny O’Dwyer
4/6
So this company Noclip just released a documentary on Half-Life over on the youtube. Pretty interresting. I’m going to watch more of these I think.
The Pleasure Garden
Alfred Hitchcock
4/6
I have seen Hitchcock, obviously, but I haven’t seen it all. So why not get up to date? And why not do so chronologically, in a non-binging fashion?
I think silent films are absurd, and I’m really struggling with the format. That said, This is probably quite sexy for nineteen-snooze-and-twenty. And surprisingly dark. And a bit #metoo.
The Pleasure Garden isn’t commercially available as far as I could tell, so I watched it on the youtube.
The Lion King 1½
Bradley Raymond
3.3/6
According to the internet, this film is based on Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead. Well, I’m not going to tag it as a make/remake, but if I did, it wouldn’t break the pattern methinks, no sir!
